Margaret, a proud mother to one of our boy beneficiary stepped up to actively support her son’s education by purchasing a desk which was a requirement by the school he goes to. This dedication and determination to see her son go through his education came after numerous trainings conducted by Life Bloom to transform the women’s perspective on what they bring to the table.
The aim of the training in phase 1, was to improve their self-value, self-esteem, self-awareness and personal leadership for the sake of their economic growth and the development of their children and families in extension.
Agnes, one of the woman and a mother enrolled in our project, took up beadwork and made it her passion. This has been evident in the products she has created in the past few months. She has proven capable of creating products fit for global markets. She is now a role model for the other women to follow in her footsteps.
Over the years, through the support of @herfuturecoalition and community leaders, we have seen the women in Suswa steadily move away from being economically dependent on the men. This is a great milestone for the women who are heroically ‘BREAKING THEIR GLASS CEILINGS’ to realize the potential they hold within.
