PEER MENTORSHIP TRAINING FOR TGGF BENEFICIARIES

The Generosity For Girls Fund Project (TGGF) beneficiaries underwent a one day peer mentorship training conducted by our CEO Catherine Wanjohi. The aim of the training in partnership with Equality Now was to ensure that the girls become role models and support systems for their peers in the community. Overall the training was meant to be an avenue to ending sexual exploitation among young girls.
Over the past 8 years 114 girls have received educational support, psychosocial support and rescue and placement through this project. The peer mentorship training will continue in April when the schools close for the holidays.
Our peer mentorship model which was pioneered by our CEO many years ago, has proved to be a best practice in combating Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation.
