Life Bloom has been at the forefront in the fight against tech-facilitated/ online sexual exploitation and abuse in young girls and women. In our The Generosity For Girls Fund (TGGF) project, girls have been continuously sensitized on the nature of online sexual exploitation and abuse, how it occurs, and how they can prevent themselves.
In partnership with Equality Now Life Bloom implemented a research project aimed at collecting case-studies and stories of lived experiences of tech-facilitated sexual exploitation and abuse of women survivors in Naivasha and Gilgil Sub-Counties.
During the research project pre-assessments were done on 10 women survivors to determine their experiences to be relevant in the research, interviews were also conducted for 9 women survivors who qualified and a debriefing for them was conducted to ensure that psychosocial support was offered as part of the process.
Their stories will support Equality Now and in extension Life Bloom, in advocating for legal and policy changes to address online/tech facilitated sexual exploitation and abuse.
