STRATEGY MEETING FOR ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OF VULNERABLE GROUPS WITHIN NAIVASHA SUB-COUNTY

Yesterday, Life Bloom’s team attended an important strategy meeting organized by Nakuru County Government to discuss on how vulnerable women, the youth of Naivasha Sub-County, and Persons Living with Disability (PWDs) can be empowered economically.
The County Government looks to offer space to the aforementioned vulnerable groups in the New Naivasha Market to practice their skills in production of goods. Implementation of the initiative is to be a joint participation of CSOs, the Nakuru County Government and other key stakeholders.
Present in the meeting were, the CS for Gender, Youth and Inclusivity Nakuru County, Persons Living with Disabilities representative Nakuru County, team members from Life Bloom, K-Note, INUA and Disability Resource and Information Centre (DRIC), County Gender representative, Naivasha Sub-County Administrator, among others.
A committee was formed from the above persons to be the working group towards the realization and implementation of this initiative.
