Trafficking in persons is a serious crime and an extremely complex human rights challenge, particularly because it is often underreported, and there is limited global data on its prevalence. Globally, women and girls consistently represent over 90 percent of all victims trafficked for sexual exploitation.
In our theory of change, creating meaningful partnerships holds a lot of weight. In order to combat Human trafficking, we partner with organizations whose mandate aligns to ours. Hence we shall be hosting a webinar alongside Equality Now, Trace Kenya and People Serving Girls at Risk to sensitize other CSOs in Eastern and Southern Africa on Human Trafficking, and especially, trafficking in children which is the theme for 2024.
