Today, Life Bloom in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Local Administration set up a camp to launch a temporary Rescue Centre, where girls at risk of Early Marriages and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), can seek refuge before further action can be taken to support and protect them. The initiative has been built on the ongoing project implementation. The Rescue Centre is located in an area where these human rights violations are rampant, and is key to ensuring the safety of the girls is given importance.
The violations against girls are common in the area but through much collaboration Life Bloom is building a movement to promote the safety of every girl and children in the area.
To officially mark the launch, Life Bloom handed over beds, mattresses and beddings to the ones who will be in-charge of supporting the girls.
