The Life Bloom in partnership with Equality Now , has been spearheading capacity building for Children Court Users Committee (CCUC) for the past two years on the concept of Trafficking in Persons (TiP) and modern forms of slavery, with an emphasis on sexual exploitation.
Life Bloom’s team camped in Mai Mahiu for a two-day training workshop to capacity build first responders to TiP and Sexual Exploitation on enhancing access to justice for survivors of sexual exploitation, creating awareness on TiP and sexual exploitation, enhancing awareness on the available referral pathways in Naivasha Law Courts, and enhancing the capacity of first responders to interview, identify and record information from victims and survivors of sexual exploitation.
Life Bloom has played a key role in bridging the gap of psychosocial support for the survivors, through offering counseling services at the Law Courts. The healing process of the victims and survivors ensures a more grounded individual while testifying in their own cases.
The training marks one of the runner-up activities towards marking the Judicial Children Service Month in November 2024. The launch will be done in Mai Mahiu.
