According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Human trafficking is defined as the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of people through force, fraud or deception, with the aim of exploiting them for profit. The campaign for World Day Against Trafficking in Persons 2024 aims to raise awareness of disturbing developments and trends identified by the UNODC and calls on governments, law enforcement, public services, and civil society to assess and enhance their efforts to strengthen prevention, identify and support victims, and end this impunity.
Join us in the coming months, as we raise awareness to end Trafficking in Persons globally!
